Welcome to SCOUTS-NL

SCOUTS-NL is a 'mailinglist' for members and friends of Scouting Nederland, the biggest youth movement in The Netherlands.

The common language on the list is Dutch, but messages in English are also welcome, e.g. to ask for information about our country, or to announce international camps (But please refrain from asking people to speak English so that you can understand. After all, the list is meant primarily for the people in the Netherlands, and there are other lists for international scouting).

Messages from non-members

By choice, the SCOUTS-NL list is open to messages from non-members, e.g. for "pen-pal" requests and such.

But if you are not a member, you will not receive answers sent to the list. Therefore, please follow these guidelines:

• The sender: clearly indicate that you are not a list member, and state the preferred e-mail address for replies. The best option is to have your mail-program generate a "Reply-To:" header, which will cause all replies to go to you by default.
• The readers: You can count on it that all requests for pen-pals, badge swapping etc, should be answered by private mail. In any case, the other list members will probably not be interested in your reply.
• Needles to say that we are talking about Scouting-related messages here. Do not abuse the list for spam or advertisements !
