Explorers

General
Explorers (or rowans or sherpa's) are more responsible for what they do every week than scouts. Instead of leiders (leaders) explorer-leaders are normally called begeleiders (which means something like coach or supervisor). Explorers chose their own bestuur (board) with (at least) a chairman, secretary and a financial manager.

Activities
Explorers organise their own activities. The things they do vary greatly between groups. For instance, some explorer-units take up projects (like building large objects with wood and ropes or organising an event for the whole group) that sometimes last several weeks. Other units focus mainly on preparations for the next camp and raising money to pay for these camps.
