Scouts

General
This agegroup usually has a summercamp, and one or two other camps each year. Summercamp is the longest camp, lasting about a week. Scouts camp in tents, usually in one tent for each sub-unit.
What other camps there are differs between groups. Many units organise a weekendcamp for their youthmembers. Often, there is a regional camp, in which the sub-units of each scout-unit compete. The winning sub-unit qualifies for the Landelijke Scouts Wedstrijden, the national sub-unit competition.

Activities
Camps for this agegroup are sometimes based on a theme-story, which in those cases are the startingpoint for many of the activities. Most units have a hike in their program, sometimes for more than one day. Other favorite activities include swimming, wide games, night games, and campfire in the evening.
